"Dacheng Financial Law Elite Training Camp" Launched by Dacheng Law Offices and the School of Law and Economics of China University of Political Science and Law

To enhance the exchange and collaboration between Dacheng Law Offices and universities, and to collectively advance university discipline development, Dacheng Law Offices and the School of Law and Economics of China University of Political Science and Law recently launched the "Dacheng Financial Law Elite Training Camp".

With the core objective of cultivating a high-quality reserve talent pool in financial law, This camp aims to assist trainees in gaining a deeper understanding and mastery of the most recent trends in global financial law. It interprets the fundamental principles of high-quality financial market development in the new era from both theoretical and practical perspectives. Additionally, the training camp fosters versatile, application-oriented, innovative, and international talents in financial law through systematic training, practical experience, and specialized guidance, thereby contributing to the improvement of China's financial legal system.

This training camp is open to full-time postgraduate students of China University of Political Science and Law. It plans to recruit 20 trainees, who will be selected through resume screening and interviews. The selection process consists of two rounds. In the first round, the training camp will invite experts to review the materials submitted by applicants and compile an interview list. In the second round, academic experts and practice experts will conduct comprehensive assessments of the candidates' professional competence, interests, aspirations, and learning capabilities.

The training camp spans one year, during which trainees will benefit from mentorship, specialized lectures, academic seminars, internship, practical training, and other training activities, fostering multifaceted personal growth.

Mentorship

The training camp will assign practical mentors based on the research interests of each trainee to provide "one-on-one" instructions, establishing a close communication channel between mentors and trainees for regular discussions and exchanges of learning and work experience.

Specialized Lectures

The training camp will invite scholars specializing in financial law to deliver lectures on cutting-edge topics. Through in-depth study of classical theories within and beyond the field, trainees will gain insights into the current macroeconomic landscape and trends in financial development, thereby enhancing their academic proficiency.

Academic Seminars

The training camp will organize academic seminars to explore hot topics in financial law theories, judicial decisions, and regulatory law enforcement. Additionally, it will organize diverse discussions in various forms such as "theoretical issues & typical cases" to foster an exchange of perspectives between mentors and trainees.

Internship and Practical Training

The training camp will organize trainees to conduct field research at market institutions and will recommend high-quality internship opportunities, encompassing but not limited to well-known law firms, securities companies, legal technology companies, specialized courts, and regulatory bodies.

Previously, Dacheng Law Offices established the "Dacheng Financial Law Outstanding Paper Award" at the Peking University Finance Law Research Center. It has successfully hosted two sessions of the Peking University Financial Law National Doctoral Forum and the Award Ceremony for the "Dacheng Financial Law Outstanding Paper Award" ,both of which have garnered positive feedback. The third session of the forum is scheduled to take place in Beijing at the end of 2024.
