On July 19, 2019, Dentons Beijing and Shenyang offices were successfully appointed to Ansteel Group’s legal panel. The pitch was led by senior partners Zhang Gang and Wang Yingbo.
Ansteel Group was built from merger and reorganization of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation (AISC) and Pangang Group Co., Ltd. in May 2010. AISC was the first restored steel conglomerate of New China and the earliest built steel production base. It has made great contributions to the development of the national economy and the steel industry. It was known as the “Cradle of Steel Industry of New China” and the “Eldest Son of the Country’s Steel Industry”. Pangang Group was the world’s largest vanadium manufacturer, the biggest titanium raw material producer and one of the major titanium dioxide production bases in China. In 2018, with a revenue reaching $27.792 billion in the previous year, Ansteel was listed on the Fortune 500 for the fifth time, ranking No. 428 on the list, a record high.
As one of the large-scale enterprises under the direct management of the Central Government, Ansteel currently has 7 different production bases in northeast, southwest, north China, southeast and south China, and effectively manages rich iron ore resources in Liaoning and Sichuan, China and Karara, Australia. It is China’s most resource-rich steel company.
In the latest round of Ansteel’s legal panel selection, several law firms competed for the appointments. With rich practical experience, extensive professional research and diligent professionalism in the field of legal services for SOEs and other related fields, our firm obtained the recognition from all parties. After the final assessment, both of our Beijing office and our Shenyang office were appointed. The successful appointment will add a new chapter on our in-depth services for SOEs’ reform and legal compliance management.
