From January 2018 to May 2018, a team led by Dentons' Shanghai office partner Ken (Jianmin) Dai and Beijing office senior partner Jet (Zhisong) Deng advised a globally renowned big data and cloud computing service provider on data protection compliance in China.
Since June 2017, in order to guarantee the implementation of the China's Cyber Security Law, the Cyberspace Administration of China and other relevant national regulatory agencies have formulated a number of supplementary regulations, further refining and clarifying the specific requirements of various systems, the responsibilities of relevant subjects, and the administration approaches.
