IFLR1000 recognizes two Dentons lawyers as Women Leaders 2020

Two Dentons partners – Aldona Kowalczyk and Natalia Selyakova – were named among IFLR1000 Women Leaders 2020, which recognizes the leading female transactional lawyers in the world. Women Leaders acknowledges these high-profile lawyers for their impressive track records and the quality of their advice and service recommended by clients and peers.

Warsaw-based partner Aldona Kowalczyk is a Co-head of the Europe Public Procurement and Government Contracts practice, Head of the Public Procurement and Government Contracts practice and Co-head of the PPP practice in Poland. With over 20 years of experience in advising both the awarding bodies and bidders in public procurement and PPP matters in Poland, Aldona is one of the most renowned specialists in the public procurement law in the country. Most recently, she represented Philips Polska in several appeal proceedings connected with the client’s participation in public tenders on supply of medical equipment to Polish hospitals, and GSK – in appeal proceedings regarding central tenders for the supply of vaccines, organized by the Ministry of Health unit. Additionally, she has been advising rolling stock manufacturer Stadler on all key tenders since their entrance to the Polish market.

Natalia Selyakova, partner in Dentons’ Kyiv office, heads the Banking and Finance, and Restructuring and Insolvency practices in Ukraine. Natalia has in-depth knowledge of Ukrainian and international law and practice, and she has acted as lead counsel in numerous transactions involving syndicated finance, project finance, trade finance, Eurobonds issues, FinTech, M&A and settlements, debt restructuring and insolvency matters. Most recently, Natalia advised VTB Bank Germany on the acquisition and restructuring of a US$75 million loan to a large development company. She also advised the group of bondholders, led by Franklin Templeton Investments, on Ukrainian sovereign debt restructuring. Natalia is leading a cross-border Dentons’ team advising EBRD on the legal and regulatory reform on consolidation capital market infrastructure in Ukraine.
