Dentons, the world’s largest law firm, today announces that the New Jersey Law Journal has selected Kelly Lloyd Lankford among its New Leaders of the Bar. Lankford is a senior managing associate in Dentons’ Short Hills, NJ, office who focuses on commercial litigation.
Lankford was one of 30 selected for their talent, dedication and experience serving their clients and leading the legal profession in New Jersey. The New Leaders of the Bar list recognizes lawyers whose consistent excellence in their careers have moved the law forward, achieved significant litigation results or otherwise made a strong impact. The nominees come from a variety of backgrounds and handle a wide array of legal work.
Lankford counsels and represents clients in a range of complex commercial disputes, primarily insurer-side coverage litigation, arbitrations and corporate litigation matters. She successfully represented clients in a variety of disputes, including consumer fraud actions, securities litigation and breach of contract actions. Additionally, she has published and presented on a number of insurance and legal topics, including a presentation at Dentons’ annual Gotham insurance conference and video webinar for the American Bar Association on technology proficiency for attorneys, covering social media ethics, e-discovery obligations and the use of artificial intelligence in litigation.
In addition to her practice, Lankford is highly committed to pro bono work and public service. She recently was nominated to the board of a legal services organization, Volunteer Lawyers for Justice. In her pro bono work, she has helped political refugees obtain asylum and handled one of Volunteer Lawyers’ first human trafficking-related cases, persuading the courts to vacate the convictions of two human trafficking survivors.
