Dentons successfully appointed as standing legal counsel for China Airport Construction Group

On April 22, 2019, Dentons China was engaged by China Airport Construction Group Co., Ltd. (CACC) to act as the standing legal counsel for a three-year period. The Dentons team was led by Senior Partner Yang Guanshan, supported by Senior Partner Liu Xinghong, Partners Zhao Qin, Chen Huichun and Xie Xin, Counsel Wu Yubing, and Paralegal Kang Qing.

Founded in 1954, CACC is the only enterprise offering a full range of services in civil airport construction. It is a science and technology concentrated SOE with Grade-A certificates in engineering design, consultation, geotechnical engineering, construction and project management, etc. Its business covers technology R&D, consultation and design, project management, supervision, construction, equipment manufacturing, and integrated services.

CACC has successfully completed nearly 90% of the airport construction work in China, and the designs of CACC have been granted numerous awards, including National Science and Technology Awards, Zhan Tianyou Civil Engineering Award, China Construction Engineering Luban Prize, National Quality Engineering Award, and many other national, provincial and ministerial design and technological progress awards. It has rich experience in airport construction and a great brand reputation in China.

In the next three years, we will provide full scope legal assistance for CACC, mainly covering three aspects: a. general corporate matters, including assisting in establishing systems and processes and improving legal risk management systems, participating in internal important meetings, reviewing or drafting, revising important contracts and other legal instruments, participating in major business negotiations, issuing legal opinions, letters, and providing consultation and trainings; b. domestic construction matters, including legal consultation, contract review and interpretation, and investigation of project risks; c. overseas construction matters, including legal consultation, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and selecting and appointing local lawyers.
