Dacheng Lawyers Reappointed as Professionals in Beijing's Third-Party Supervision and Evaluation Mechanism for Compliance of Enterprises Involved in Cases

On February 20, 2024, the Beijing Management Committee of Third-party Supervision and Evaluation Mechanism for Compliance of Enterprises Involved in Cases announced the reappointment list of the first batch of professionals. The reappointment list was published from February 2 to February 9, 2024, according to the Implementation Measures for Establishing the Third-Party Supervision and Evaluation Mechanism for Compliance of Enterprises Involved in Cases (Trial) and relevant supporting documents. This reappointment process involved performance assessments, solicitation for renewal, recommendations from member units, and reviews by the Management Committee. The results published received no objections. A total of 126 professionals from law firms, accounting firms, tax firms, government institutions, and various enterprises have been reappointed as third-party mechanism professionals.

The compliance reform for enterprises involved in cases, led by China's procuratorial organs, in collaboration with multiple departments, is a significant judicial reform initiative and a creative measure in social governance initiated by procuratorial organs. Since the launch of the pilot program for compliance in enterprises involved in cases by the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China in 2020, substantial progress has been achieved. According to the Investigation Report on Compliance Reforms for Enterprises Involved in Cases released by the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China in August 2023, 508 compliance cases involving enterprises were processed nationwide in the first half of that year. The importance of third-party mechanism professionals in this compliance landscape cannot be overstated.
